Booni, Upper Chitral, June 3, 2026: A public gathering was held in Booni today under the banner of “Abdul Latif Release Movement,” where speakers demanded the immediate release of party MNA Abdul Latif.

The public gathering was led by Suriya Bibi, Deputy Speaker of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly.
The event was attended by members of the PTI district, tehsil cabinets, women’s wing, and youth cabinet, along with a significant number of party workers from across Upper Chitral.

Representatives and workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and people from different areas of Upper Chitral participated in the protest gathering in a large number.

Organizers stated that the district cabinet will soon announce the next course of action and schedule regarding the movement.
A rally was also taken out in which the participants chanted slogans for the release of PTI leaders.
The participants chanted slogans against the federal government for implicating PTI leaders and workers in concocted terrorism cases.
Latif’s Disqualification Opens Political Race for Chitral Seat
They said with the disqualification and imprisonment of Abdul Latif, Chitral was without representation in the National Assembly.
The participants demanded the immediate release of Abdul and the quashment of cases against him and other party workers.
