DROSH: The Chitral Football League (CFL) Season 6 is underway in the historic town of Drosh, with the support and patronage of Chitral Scouts turning the event into a major football festival attracting players, coaches and fans from across Pakistan.
Colonel Murad Football Stadium has become a vibrant centre of football activity, drawing large crowds from different parts of Chitral who are travelling to Drosh to watch the exciting matches.
Organised by Ideal Club Drosh with the support of Chitral Scouts, the All-Pakistan football league has once again attracted nationwide attention. The participation of players, coaches and prominent football personalities from across the country has added to the excitement in the town.
A major attraction of Season 6 is the participation of prominent national and international-level footballers, who are displaying their skills and talent in the competition. Renowned football coaches from Pakistan, along with officials associated with football federations, are also present in Drosh.
Their participation has helped elevate the Chitral Football League beyond a local tournament, establishing it as an important national-level platform for football.
CFL Chief Executive Kamal Abdul Jamil said the league is organised annually under the patronage and with the full support of Chitral Scouts, with teams and players from different parts of Pakistan taking part in the competition.
He said the District Administration, Chitral Police, TMA, Rescue 1122, District Sports Office (DSO) and District Football Association (DFA) were also supporting efforts to ensure the successful organisation of the league.
According to the organisers, 12 matches have been played so far, with players delivering impressive performances and providing spectators with exciting football action.
Three teams have already secured places in the knockout stage, while the remaining teams are competing intensely for qualification to the next round.
The Colonel Murad Football Stadium is witnessing growing excitement as the tournament progresses, with large crowds cheering their teams and adding to the festive atmosphere.
With the knockout stage approaching, the competition is expected to become even more intense as teams battle for a place in the decisive matches of CFL Season 6.
