Nine candidates caught cheating in ETEA test
PESHAWAR: At least nine candidates, including four women, were caught cheating during the latest recruitment test conducted by the Education Testing and Evaluation Agency (ETEA) in different districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to officials of the testing agency, the test was held simultaneously at multiple examination centres across the province for various government job vacancies.
During the process, invigilators and monitoring teams identified candidates attempting to cheat using unauthorized means.
The officials said several candidates were found in possession of mobile phones and other electronic devices, which are strictly prohibited during examinations. In some cases, candidates were reportedly receiving answers through Bluetooth devices hidden under their clothing.
“Despite clear instructions and strict monitoring protocols, these individuals tried to bypass the system. All nine candidates, including four female applicants, have been disqualified and further action is being taken against them as per ETEA regulations,” an official spokesperson said.
The agency emphasized its commitment to ensuring merit and transparency in the recruitment process.
“ETEA maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of cheating or misconduct. The integrity of our testing system is paramount,” the spokesperson added.
However, the incident has raised concerns among genuine aspirants, many of whom have called for even tighter security and surveillance mechanisms at exam centers to prevent future violations.
