BOONI: District Police Officer Upper Chitral Zia Hassan directed all SHOs to ensure the timely and complete registration of hotel guests through the Hotel Eye system.
He said the measure would help identify suspicious individuals and further strengthen public safety and security.
The directives were issued during a crime meeting chaired by the DPO at Police Lines Upper Chitral with SDPOs and SHOs from across the district. The meeting reviewed the law and order situation, crime situation and overall performance of the police force.
The DPO directed all SHOs to coordinate with hotel owners and ensure the timely and complete registration of all guests staying at hotels through the Hotel Eye system. He said effective use of Hotel Eye would help in the timely identification of suspicious individuals and further improve public safety and security.
The SHOs were told to accelerate operations against drug dealers and take strict action in accordance with the law to rid Upper Chitral of the menace of drugs and protect the younger generation from their harmful effects.
The DPO said police officials should treat complainants visiting police stations with courtesy and respect, resolve their issues in accordance with the law and provide timely relief to the public.
The meeting also stressed the need to fully activate and effectively utilize modern police facilities and applications, including SOS and SCP.
The DPO directed officers to create awareness among the public about these facilities so that citizens can quickly contact police during emergencies and receive timely assistance.
