AKAH to spend Rs60m on water supply, other schemes in Yarkhun

YARKHUN: The Aga Khan Agency for Habitat (AKAH) will spend Rs60 million on a number of schemes in different villages of Yarkhun, local people told ChitralToday.  

They said officials from AKAH and Imamat organizations held a dialogue with the locals and agreed to carry out water supply and channelization works in the villages of  Phashk, Bang lower, Patrangaz, Wasum and Gazen.

The officials said AKAH and Imamat agencies had been working in the area for long and would continue doing so in the future as well.

The residents of the villages thanked AKAH and other Imammat organizations for continuously working for the betterment of the local communities in the sector of education, health, sanitation and protection of their properties against floods and other natural calamities.
