Booni, Nov 11, 2025: District administration officials along with officers from the Irrigation Department and local elders visited Shader Reshun to assess the situation arising from river erosion that has damaged agricultural land and endangered several houses in the area.
The visit aimed to develop a comprehensive strategy for diverting the river flow to a safer channel to protect local communities and public infrastructure.
During the visit, Irrigation Department officials briefed the team on the proposed diversion and protection plan, while local residents shared their concerns over the loss of land and the increasing threat to their properties.
The district administration officials instructed the relevant departments to prepare a detailed design and layout of the project and share it with the local community to ensure transparency and public participation. They emphasized the timely completion of protective embankments, river channelization, and other safety works to mitigate further damage.
