Stranded Japanese tourist rescued

AYUN: A female tourist from Japan was rescued by police after she got stranded near Dubash while returning to Chitral town from Bumburate valley on Friday, the Lower Chitral police said.

The police received information that the tourist had stuck after a landslide blocked the road near Dubash. Station House Officer Ayun Munirul Mulk along with a team reached the spot and rescued the tourist.

Almost all roads are blocked in Chitral for the last about a week due to incessant rains and snowfall and hundreds of tourists who had reached Chiytral on Eid holidays remained stranded for many days. After two days, Chitral again received rain on Friday that triggered flash flooding in nullahs. Moreover, landsliding and avalanches have also blocked roads in different parts of Chitral.

  1. The lady should be told to sit at home in such a weather and avoid visiting dangerous areas. We have no time to take care when she is such a reckless tourist.
