Garam Chashma, Feb 16, 2026: For the first time in the Lot Koh Valley, a three-day ice skating training camp was held, drawing hundreds of local youth.
Participants received professional coaching from trainers from Kalash Valley and Madak Lasht.
The camp was organized by the Aga Khan Youth and Sports Board Local Council Garam Chashma with support from the district administration. Youth expressed gratitude, especially to AKYSB Chairperson Jamshed Ahmed, for making the historic event possible.
Community members noted that youth leadership inspires progress and enthusiasm among young people, and expressed hope that AKYSB will continue supporting innovative initiatives.
The local community also thanked the district administration, identified prime ice skating spots in Garam Chashma Valley, and pledged to help expand the event in future years.
