ISLAMABAD: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) canceled four scheduled flights to Gilgit today due to security concerns, while several flights to Skardu are experiencing significant delays.
According to media reports, the flights from Islamabad and Lahore to Gilgit – PK-601, PK-602, PK-609, and PK-610 – have been canceled due to security-related reasons. Airline officials stated that the cancellations were made to ensure passenger safety.
Meanwhile, flights PK-455 and PK-456 from Karachi to Skardu have been delayed by three hours. Additionally, flight PK-451 from Islamabad to Skardu is expected to depart 30 minutes behind schedule.
PIA has advised passengers to check the latest updates on their flights through the airline’s helpline or official website. Alternative travel arrangements are being offered to affected passengers.
