Reshun, April 21, 2026: The Reshun Gol powerhouse road was blocked following a major landslide, local residents said on Tuesday.
The incident occurred after the Raghen irrigation channel was breached, which triggered a large landslide and sent a massive amount of soil and debris onto the roadway.
The irrigation channel in Raghen has also sustained significant damage. Due to the road closure, Reshun Gol residents remain stranded.
The district administration of Upper Chitral has been urged to initiate clearance and repair operations besides an assessment of the damaged irrigation infrastructure.
