Proclaimed offender in murder, other cases arrested

CHITRAL: The Lower Chitral police on Sunday said a proclaimed offender wanted in murder and other heinous criminal cases in Chitral and Upper Dir has been arrested during a search operation conducted in Arandu.

In a statement, the police said search operations against criminals were underway on the direction of District Police Officer Iftikhar Shah.

During a search operation conducted by Station House Officer (SHO) Arandu Inspector Ali Ahmed and his team, the wanted criminal was arrested in the Kahoti village of Arandu. The wanted man was identified as Muhammad Ishaq, a resident of Lachigram in Damel.

Moreover, two other suspects wanted by the Lower Chitral police in different cases were also nabbed during the search operation. They were identified as Sheikh Zahid and Khan Tahsin, bother residents of Zarinbagh in Damel.
