PESHAWAR: Educational boards in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have cancelled matriculation examination papers scheduled during the current week amid the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) long march.
The annual Matric Part-II examinations will now begin from October 12, while a revised schedule for the cancelled papers will be announced later.
The examination boards did not provide detailed reasons for the decision. However, the Bannu Board said examinations were cancelled due to the deteriorating situation and the unavailability of internet services in the district.
The development comes as PTI is holding a long march in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with activities in some areas reportedly affecting normal routines.
Students will be informed about the revised dates for the cancelled examination papers once the boards finalise the new schedule.
