PESHAWAR: The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) Peshawar has arrested Hafiz Ullah for allegedly defaming Carey Schofield, a UK national and principal of Langlands School and College in Chitral.
Schofield was recently conferred the national award of Hilal-e-Quaid-e-Azam in recognition of her services.
According to the complaint, the suspect allegedly made defamatory remarks about Schofield and also questioned the conferment of the national award.
He reportedly described the decision as, “a sign of the president of Pakistan’s extreme lack of seriousness.”
The NCCIA has registered a First Information Report (FIR) against the man, and further legal proceedings are underway.
