ISLAMABAD: The Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) will be held on August 27.
According to a statement, the PMDC at a meeting chaired by its President Dr Rizwan Taj decided that the syllabus of MDCAT will remain the same as last year\’s. It directed all provincial secretaries to start preparations for the exam.
Last year, almost 204,259 students appeared in the entry test. This year, 210,000 students are likely to appear in the exam from all the four provinces, regions and Islamabad. The PMDC will hold the exam as per the provincial curriculum.
\”The MDCAT paper difficult index will also be taken into consideration for ease of students without compromising merit this year to ensure that all provinces conduct exams without any trouble to students.\”
It was decided that Nums shall be the admitting university responsible for admissions in all armed forces administered medical/dental colleges /institutes. The Nums admission test shall be considered at par with MDCAT to be applicable only for admission to all armed forces administered medical/dental colleges.
