BOONI: Following the continued efforts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Deputy Speaker Suraya Bibi and her coordination with relevant authorities, appointment orders have been issued for 19 fixed-pay medical officers at various basic health units and hospitals in Upper Chitral.
According to an official notification, the newly appointed doctors have been posted to different areas of Upper Chitral to provide medical services to local communities.
The health facilities and areas receiving the medical officers include Khot, Sonoghur, Shongush, Zondrangram, Rech, Nishko, Drasun, Booni, Charun Oveer, Brom Oveer, Gohkir, Morder, Shabrunz Oveer, Rayeen, Meragram, Terich, Shoch, Zangalsht and other health centres.
The appointments are aimed at improving the availability of healthcare services for residents of Upper Chitral, particularly those living in remote and underserved areas.
The deployment of the medical officers is also expected to help address the shortage of doctors at healthcare facilities and strengthen the provision of basic medical services across the district.
