Drosh, April 1, 2026: A tragic incident of murder occurred in the Achin Gol area of Shahnigar in Drosh where a youth was murdered in a house at around 2 AM on Wednesday.
According to the station house officer (SHO) of Drosh, Yawar, son of Shahi Dinar and resident of Kaldam, aged 20–21 years, allegedly entered the house of Fazal Rahman, a native of Ashirat currently living in Achin Gol.
According to the SHO, Rahman’s wife, identified as Farida, allegedly opened fire on the young man with a shotgun, resulting in his death on the spot.
Upon receiving information, the police rushed to the scene, collected evidence and shifted the body to the Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital for postmortem examination.
According to police officials, further investigation is underway and legal proceedings have been initiated.
Local sources told ChitralToday that the husband of the woman is a laborer and was in Upper Chitral for work when the incident occured.
