Booni, Feb 24, 2026: A nine-year-old boy who had been reported missing was recovered safely and reunited with his family after four days of continuous efforts by the police.
According to police, a report regarding the disappearance of Faheem Uddin, son of Rehmat Uddin, a resident of Junalkoch, was lodged at Police Station Booni on February 19, 2026.
Following the complaint, an FIR was registered under Section 8 of the Zainab Alert, Response and Recovery Act, 2020. The Station House Officer (SHO) of Booni along with his team launched an effective search operation. After four days of persistent efforts, the child was traced and recovered safely from the Yarkhun area.
Initial investigations revealed that the boy had left home after being upset over a domestic matter. After completing legal formalities, the police handed him over safely to his father.
District Police Upper Chitral Hameedullah has urged parents to pay special attention to the supervision of their children and to immediately contact the nearest police station in case of any untoward incident.
