DROSH (ChitralToday): Ideal Football Club Drosh clinched the Drosh Champions League Season 2 title after a dramatic final against Janali FC Drosh at Colonel Murad Stadium.
The match ended 1-1 in regular time, leading to a tense penalty shootout. Ideal FC held their nerve to win 5-3 on penalties, sparking celebrations among players and supporters.
Star Performers of Tournament
Ideal FC’s goalkeeper Mansoor was named Man of the Match for his excellent performance during the shootout. Mohammad Yaqoob was awarded Player of the Tournament for his consistent contributions throughout the event.
The team’s success was guided by Club Secretary Imran Ahmad, Captain Faisal Abbas, and Vice-Captain Mohammad Ziyan, whose leadership was praised by fans and local football enthusiasts.
Guests and Prize Distribution
The final drew a large crowd and notable guests. Among them were Razeet Billa (Vice President PTI Malakand Division) and Haji Gul Nawaz (Senior Vice President PTI Chitral). Other PTI leaders in attendance included Samiullah Sameen, Nazirullah (MPA Coordinator), Javed Alam, and Ijaz Alam.
During the prize ceremony, Haji Gul Nawaz announced cash prizes:
Rs 15,000 for the tournament organizers, Rs 10,000 for the winning team (Ideal FC) and Rs 5,000 for the runner-up (Janali FC).
