Chitral loses all three matches to GB teams 

SHANDUR: The second day of the Shandur Polo Festival 2025 saw a string of defeats for Chitral\’s B, C and D teams as they faced strong opposition from Gilgit-Baltistan\’s teams.

The day\’s first match featured Chitral C vs Gilgit C. In a competitive game, Gilgit C outclassed Chitral C by 9 goals to 7.

In the second match, Gilgit B dominated the field against Chitral B, securing a decisive 9-1 victory.

The third and final match of the day was a thrilling encounter between Chitral D and Gilgit D. After a closely contested game, Gilgit D edged out Chitral D with a 4-3 win.

The grand final of the festival is scheduled for June 22, where Chitral A will take on Gilgit A in what promises to be a high-stakes match.

Many fans expressed disappointment over the lack of live coverage this year, as organizers failed to broadcast the matches outside of the venue. However, there remains hope that the final match will be televised or streamed live for a broader audience.
