BOONI: Nazir Ahmed has been appointed as the district police officer (DPO) of Upper Chitral in place of Zulfiqar Ahmed Tanoli.
SP Nazir Ahmed is the second DPO of Upper Chitral after the establishment of the new district.
The outgoing DPO Tanoli was the first to head the police two years ago.
After taking charge, the new DPO addressed police officials in Booni.
Among other things, he told the officials not to delay the registration of cases after receiving complaints.
