AKDN to help district admin to check spread of virus

BOONI: The Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) has assured the district administration of Upper Chitral of its cooperation in checking the spread of coronavirus.

The assurance was extended to Deputy Commissioner Shah Saud by a group of representatives from the AKDN in his office on Sunday, according to a statement of the DC office seen by ChitralToday.

During the meeting, they snnounced to donate the the following items to THQ Hospital Booni on an emergency basis:
800 surgical mask
800 gloves
3000 calpol packets
20 gowns and
50 Eye googles.

They also pledged to support establishment of an isolation centre at the Govt Girls Degree College Booni a d run awareness campaign.

Besides, they will also support in transportation of those released from quarantine centres to their home or quarantine centres in upper part of the district.
