Returnees told to stay in quarantine centres for 2 weeks

BREP: Deputy Commissioner Upper Chitral Shah Saud along with the district police officer (DPO) and others visited the quarantine centres at Brep and Bang on Monday and asked the inmates to continue stating away from their families and others to avoid the chances of the spread of coronavirus.

The president of the Ismaili Council Upper Chitral also accompanied the DC, according to statement by the deputy commissioner office.

The DC while addressing the inmates in Brep said that it was not possible for the administration to allow them to go home as we all have to follow government’s instructions to beat the virus.

He appreciated the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) for assisting the local administration in making arrangements in the quarantine centers for those who have returned from different cities.

Meanwhile, sources told ChitralToday that about 20 people staying in the quarantine centre in Bang were sent to Yarkhun Lashut to be accommodated there by the Aga Khan local council. These people belonged to different parts of upper Yarkhun.
