PHC dismisses plea against removal of hospital MS

PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) dismissed a petition filed by Dr Akber Shah against his removal from the post of medical superintendent (MS) District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Lower Chitral.

The court declared legal the appointment of Dr Muhammad Shamim as the MS of the hospital was legal.

In Aug 2019, Dr Akber Shah was made the MS of the hospital. However, last month, the KP government announced that appointment of Dr Shah as the MS in Chitral hospital was made by mistake.

Dr Shah challenged his removal in the PHC which today turned it down after hearing the counsel from both the sides.
