Gang of burglars from Dir busted by Chitral police
CHITRAL: Three men from Chitral were arrested by Chitral police on the charge of stealing valuables worth millions of rupees from shops in different areas of Chitral.
In a press release, the police said a number of shops in the jurisdiction of Koghuzi police were burgled and valuables worth Rs159,000 were stolen.
On the direction of District Police Office (DPO) Wasim Riaz, the police constituted a team which used modern technology and traced and arrested the suspects.
The police also recovered some of the stolen valuables and a vehicle used by the suspects in the crime.
Four batteries of vehicles were also recovered which the suspects had stolen from vehicles parked on Chitral-Mastuj roads. The owners have been directed to approach the Koghuzi police to take back the batteries.
The suspects have been identified as Muhib Ullah, Bakht Zeb and Majid Ullah of Upper Dir. Further investigation is underway, said the police.–Mukam Uddin
