Widening of Mastuj road at Kruideri ordered after protest

BOONI: After the road accident at Kruideri near Mastuj which claimed the lives of three FC personnel, the people of Mastuj and its surrounding areas staged a protest and blocked Booni-Mastuj road.

On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Upper Chitral Shah Saud, AAC Moazzam Khan along with other officials held successful negotiations with the protesters and got the road reopened on 23.12.2019, said a press release.

The C&W department was directed to complete widening of the narrow portions of the road where the tragic incident took place to avoid future incidents.
