Martyred Chitral Scouts personnel laid to rest
CHITRAL: Three Chitral Scouts personnel who died in a road accident at Kruideri in Upper Chitral on Friday were laid to rest in their native villages after funeral prayer in Chitral town and Mastuj on Saturday.
The funeral prayer of Subedar Saeedur Rehman, a resident of Ursoon and vice principal of Frontier Corps Public School (FCPS), and sepoy Hafeezullah (driver of the double cabin) and resident of Mirkhani, was held at the Chitral Scouts headquarters in Chiral town.
The funeral prayer of Lance Naik Rashidul Hassan of Torkhow was held at Mastuj. After the funeral prayers, the bodies were sent to their native villages and buried with full military honor.
Two other personnel, identified as education officer and principal of the FCPS Mr Ibrahim and sepoy Sami Ullah, were critically injured in the accident. They were referred to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Peshawar due to their critical condition.
The five Chitral Scouts personnel attached with its education wing and working for the FCPS were going to Mastuj when their double cabin fell into the ravine at Kruideri on Friday.–Muhkam Uddin Ayuni
