Disaster fund transferred to Chitral: MPA

DROSH: Minority MPA Wazir Zada on Friday told the flood-affected people of Osiak that the provincial government has already transferred disaster fund and equipment to the district administration of Chitral and therefore there would be no prolonged wait for the receipt of the relief amount.
Disaster fund transferred to Chitral: MPAThe MPA was addressing a gathering of people in the flood-hit village near the Drosh town during which Commissioner Malakand Division Zaheerul Islam was also present along with elected representatives of the local government and district administration officials. On the demand of the locals, the MPA assured them that channelization of the local stream would be carried out to protect the Osiak village from flooding in the future. Besides, he promised to work for the supply of drinking water to the dwellers of the village on a priority basis. About the delay in the completion of the RCC bridge of the village, he said he would collect information at the provincial level and try to get the project complete without further dealy.

    MPA Wazir Zada statement all about support to affected people of Osiak Drosh is very much appreciated. The most important job to be done here is channelization that can protect area from more flood destruction.

    People of Brep in Yarkhun have also been approaching District Administration, MNA & MPA Chitral for channelization of CHIKAN NULLA Brep which is filled with debris of flood that hit Brep on July 23, 2018. Chikan Nullah now filled can wash away a large village if more flush flood come here. District Administration is requested to work on it and clear the channel for protection of large village consisting of 360 houses.
