Irshad Mukarar, the coordinator for the UNDP CPF programme, visited the police station and reviewed the ongoing work. In a statement, Mr Mukarar said the construction of three new rooms at the police station would be completed soon while two more rooms would be built later. He said 97 furniture items, including chairs, tables and cupboards would also be provided to the police station. Mr Mukarar expressed satisfaction over the pace of work at the police station. It may be noted that similar work is underway in Bumburate and Ayun. Mr Mukarar thanked the UNDP for providing the funds and expressed the hope that more police stations would also be renovated and provided with missing facilities.
