Snowfall disrupts life

CHITRAL, Dec 18: Heavy snowfall in Chitral has badly affected the communication system in the area. Most of the link roads including Lowari tunnel have been closed for all types of traffic as the snow blocked the roads. So far two feet of snow has been recorded in the district’s upper areas and severe cold wave has gripped the area. Army troops have removed snow and opened Lowari tunnel that links Chitral with the rest of the country. People are facing difficulties due to shortage of LPG and firewood and were confined inside their houses.
