Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, plastic surgeon at the Hayat Medical Complex Peshawar and the focal person of the project, Dr Muhammad Tahir, said besides the burn and trauma treatment the unit at the DHQ hospital Chitral would also have the facility of reconstruction through the plastic surgery. He said earlier this facility was not available in Pakistan and Afghanistan and now Chitral had been added to the list of areas where the centre was established. DHQ hospital’s medical superintendent Dr Shahzada Faizul Mulk Jillani said the German organization built the building for the trauma and burn centre and also provided all the facilities for it. He said the unit would also provide treatment facilities to patients coming from Afghanistan.
