Booni, July 1, 2026: Three serious criminal incidents have been reported in Upper Chitral over the past three to four days, prompting police action in separate cases.
In the first incident, police registered a case against two men accused of sexually assaulting another male after allegedly intoxicating him.
According to the victim’s statement, he was given a substance before the alleged assault. The suspects have reportedly been arrested, and a case has been registered under the relevant provisions of the law.
In a separate incident, police arrested a non-local man accused of assaulting and threatening a 10-year-old girl. Authorities have registered a case under child protection laws and launched an investigation.
In the third incident, a driver was seriously injured in a knife attack following an argument with another driver in Booni. Police are investigating the incident for legal action against the suspect.
