Shagram, June 30, 2026: A 10-year-old schoolgirl fell into the Torkhow River while crossing a pedestrian bridge between Shagram and Tajianlasht on her way home from school on Tuesday.
According to locals, the girl was identified as Suriya Bibi, daughter of retired Havaldar Bulbul Khan.
A search operation was immediately launched with the assistance of local volunteers, social workers and Rescue 1122 teams. Efforts are continuing to locate the missing child.
Authorities and local volunteers have appealed to the public to cooperate with the search operation and to immediately report any relevant information.
