Peshawar, June 29: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Department has reshuffled Police Service of Pakistan (PSP) officers through a notification issued by the Inspector General of Police.
As part of the transfers, DPO Chitral Lower, Flt. Lt. (R) Riffat Ullah Khan (BS-18), has been posted as DPO Charsadda, while SP Faqirabad Peshawar Resham Jehangir PSP (BS-18) has been appointed as the new DPO Chitral Lower.
Ms Resham is the second woman district police chief of Lower Chitral after Sonia Shamroz Khan who remained posted to the district from December 2020 to November 2022.
Similarly, DPO Dir Lower, Capt. (R) Muhammad Furqan Bilal (BS-18), has been transferred as DPO Bannu, while Syed Talal Ahmad Shah (BS-18), who was awaiting posting at CPO Peshawar, has been posted as DPO Dir Lower.

In another change, DPO Charsadda, Muhammad Waqas Khan (BS-18), has been posted as AIG Logistics at the Central Police Office, Peshawar, while AIG Logistics, Ikram Ullah (BS-18), has been appointed DPO Shangla. DPO Shangla, Shah Hassan (BS-18), has been transferred as SP Traffic Warden Kohat.
Moreover, AIG Establishment Sonia Shamroz Khan (BS-19) has been posted as DPO Nowshera, while DPO Nowshera Ahmed Shah (BS-18) has been transferred to AIG Establishment, CPO Peshawar.
Meanwhile, DPO Bannu, Lt. Cdr. (R) Yasir Afridi (BS-19), has been closed to CPO Peshawar for further proceedings on SMC.
According to the notification, all transfers and postings have been made with immediate effect under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Act, 2017.
