Chitral, June 6, 2026: The Lower Chitral Police said they have intensified targeted operations against individuals involved in drug trafficking in the district.
In the latest development, a joint team led by SHO Police Station Lotkoh Iftikhar Ahmed, along with Incharge Police Post Parabeg Dilshad Pari, conducted a house search in Parabeg area.
During the search, police recovered 710 grams of opium from the residential room of a suspect identified as Habibullah, son of Hakeem Khan, a resident of Barzain Parabeg.
The suspect was taken into custody and shifted to the police station.
Police have registered a case against the arrested suspect at Police Station Lotkoh and further investigation has been launched.
A police spokesperson said that operations against drug dealers will continue across Lower Chitral without any discrimination in order to curb the spread of narcotics in the region.
