Islamabad, May 15, 2026: His Highness Prince Rahim Aga Khan, the 50th Imam of the Ismaili Muslims, is expected to arrive in Pakistan on May 20.
Aga Khan Expected to Visit Pakistan from May 20 to 26
According to sources in the community, the Aga Khan will stay in Chitral and Gilgit-Baltistan from May 21 to 25 and meet his followers and review development works under the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN).
After arriving in Islamabad, His Highness Prince Rahim will meet senior government officials in Islamabad, according to sources.
The discussions are expected to focus on development cooperation and ongoing initiatives of the Aga Khan Development Network in Pakistan, particularly in the fields of education, health and community development.
The Aga Khan will give Didar to the Ismaili Jamat in Taus, Gupis on May 21 afternoon; Passu Hunza, on May 22 morning; Gahkuch, May 22 afternoon; Parwak Lasht Upper Chitral on May 23 morning; Taus Gupis on May 23 afternoon; Gilgit on May 24 morning; Gahkuch May 24 afternoon; Parwak (Upper Chitral) May 25 morning, and Garam Chashma (Lower Chitral) on May 25 afternoon.

Meanwhile, preparations at Didargahs in the above mentioned areas have almost been finalized.
Preparations Peak for Ismaili Imam’s Didar in Chitral
During the forthcoming visit to Pakistan, His Highness Prince Rahim Aga Khan is not scheduled to meet his followers in other parts of the country such as Karachi and Islamabad.
As a result, Ismailis belonging to Chitral and Gilgit-Baltistan have started moving to their areas for the Didar of the Imam.
Besides Didar and other engagements, the Ismaili Imam is expected to separately meet special persons at the Didargahs.
In this regard, special arrangements are being made for the transportation of the special persons to Didargahs and back home. Four Ismaili volunteers will be assigned duty with each of the special persons till their return homes.
