In Upper Chitral, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Imran Khan attended a morning assembly at Category-D Hospital Booni to review preparations and mobilize teams.
Addressing the gathering, the deputy commissioner directed polio teams to strictly follow the micro-plan and ensure door-to-door vaccination in their assigned areas. He stressed that no child should be left unvaccinated, calling any such lapse unacceptable.

Meanwhile, in Lower Chitral, the campaign also began today and will continue until April 16 under foolproof security arrangements. A large number of security personnel have been deployed with polio teams across the district.
On the special directives of District Police Officer Rifatullah Khan, strict security measures have been implemented. Senior police officials, including SDPOs and SHOs, are personally visiting areas to monitor arrangements and ensure the safety of vaccination teams.
Authorities have also intensified checkpoints across the district and directed personnel to maintain strict vigilance on suspicious individuals.
Officials said that all available resources are being utilized to provide full security to polio teams throughout the campaign.
Parents have been urged to cooperate with vaccination teams and ensure that their children receive polio drops, as part of the collective effort to eradicate the disease.
