Three RHCs Handed Over to Aga Khan Heath Service

Chitral, April 3, 2026: The Rural Health Centers (RHCs) in Shagram, Mastuj and Garam Chashma have been officially handed over to Aga Khan Health Services following the signing of a formal contract today.

The handover was facilitated by Deputy Speaker of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, Suriya Bibi, said a PTI spokesperson.
Under the new contract, doctor consultation fees at these RHCs will be eliminated. Patients will pay only an Rs. 10 OPD fee. Medicines will be provided free of cost through the health card system. Laboratory tests will be charged at government rates, with no additional fees.
Officials present at the signing included Khizar Hayat, Director of Health Foundation; Mirajuddin, GM of Aga Khan Health Services; Dr. Farman Ali, DHO Upper Chitral; and Dr. Shameem, DHO Lower Chitral.
Deputy Speaker Suriya Bibi coordinated with relevant authorities to complete the handover. Operational steps at the RHCs will begin immediately to provide basic healthcare services to local residents.
