Chitral, Feb 13, 2026: A gas leak in the village of Seen, Lower Chitral, claimed the lives of Maulana Ubaidullah, the imam of Jamia Masjid Seen Lalmi, his wife and their one-year-old child.
The family had lit a gas cylinder to stay warm during the severe cold and went to sleep; they were found dead at around 8:30 AM when family members broke the locked room.
Maulana Ubaidullah was widely respected in the community for his piety, dedication to religious service, and contributions to local welfare.
Residents and local leaders expressed deep grief over the loss, praying for the departed souls and strength for the bereaved family to bear this tragedy.
