Chitral, May 16, 2026: Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan chief Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said education has become expensive and class-based with corruption and nepotism permeating every sector.

He expressed these views while addressing a ceremony of Jamaat-e-Islami’s Information Technology programme “Bano Qabil” in Chitral.

Thousands of male and female students appeared in the entry test organized under the Alkhidmat Foundation’s free IT training programme. Those who pass the test will be provided training in programmes of varying durations.

The JI chief stated that apart from Jamaat-e-Islami, no one is willing to support the younger generation. He added that the “Bano Qabil” programme had emerged as a game changer, with 1.45 million students registered so far under Alkhidmat Pakistan’s free IT education initiative.

Hafiz Rehman announced that the scope of “Bano Qabil” had been expanded to include technical courses in addition to IT. He said thousands of IT labs had already been established across the country.

He further announced that the programme has been expanded and renamed “Z-Connect,” which will also include promotion of sports and moral training of youth. He urged young people to strengthen their connection with religion, stating that Pakistan was created through great sacrifices.

He advised the youth not to lose hope but to move forward with unity and confidence. He said young people should equip themselves with both religious and modern education, serve the nation, and become part of Jamaat-e-Islami’s struggle for systemic change.

He added that while Jamaat-e-Islami is pressuring the government to provide quality and free education to youth, it is also playing its own role in this regard. He expressed confidence that the nation would be pulled out of despair and darkness, and a revolution would be brought about with the help of the youth.

The Jamaat-e-Islami chief further said that the objectives for which Pakistan was created have not been achieved even after 79 years. He criticized the ruling elite, feudal lords, and bureaucratic system, stating that they continue to dominate the country while the public is deprived of justice and access to education.

He urged the public, especially the youth, to unite and struggle for their rights and support Jamaat-e-Islami for changing the existing system.

He also highlighted the issues faced by Chitral, saying that basic facilities are lacking in the region and that ruling parties are not serious about addressing public concerns.

He said Jamaat-e-Islami would secure people’s rights through peaceful resistance.

Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Khyber Pakhtunkhwa North Inayatullah Khan, Secretary General Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Waqas Anjum Jafri, and district Ameer Wajihuddin also addressed the gathering.

Maghfirat Shah, Abdul Haq, Bano Qabil Chief Executive Shahid Iqbal, Umair Idrees, and other leaders were also present on the occasion.

Around 20,000 chairs were arranged at the polo ground, where children and youth of different ages appeared in the entry test for participation in the programme.
