No Clue to Missing Chitrali Businessman Since May 1

Islamabad, May 11, 2026: A young businessman from Chitral, Nooruddin, has been mysteriously missing from Islamabad for the past 11 days, while a kidnapping case has been registered at Aabpara Police Station on the complaint of his family.

Missing Chitrali man traced after 45 years

According to sources, Nooruddin, who belongs to Torkhow in Upper Chitral, was involved in trading and other business activities in Islamabad. According to his family, he suddenly went missing on May 1, and no contact has been established with him since then.

According to reports, Nooruddin spent the night of April 30 to May 1 with friends and returned home late. After offering Fajr prayers, he left his apartment for an unknown location. Shortly after his departure, his mobile phone was switched off.

A few hours later, however, he sent a WhatsApp location to his driver. When the driver reached the spot near Srinagar Highway close to CDA offices in Islamabad’s G-7 sector, Nooruddin’s vehicle was found parked there, but he himself was missing.

For several days, there was no trace of him, prompting his brother Saifuddin to lodge a missing person report at Abpara Police Station. Islamabad Police initiated a search operation.

The case took a dramatic turn on May 10 when Nooruddin’s mobile phone briefly became active again and his location reportedly traced to the Kacha area of Sindh, a region known for the presence of armed criminal groups. Shortly afterward, a video surfaced showing him allegedly in captivity, with armed men demanding a ransom of Rs50 million.

Islamabad Police stated that investigations are underway from different angles and all possible resources are being utilized to trace the missing young man. According to police officials, the case is being treated seriously and progress is expected soon.

Meanwhile, the sudden disappearance of a young businessman from a sensitive city like the federal capital has created deep concern within the Chitrali community. Various social and public circles have demanded the immediate and safe recovery of Nooruddin or that the facts surrounding the incident be brought before the public as soon as possible.

Sources said that Nooruddin was associated with the trading business, and several individuals had invested in his various business ventures. Following his sudden disappearance, investors and related circles are also experiencing growing anxiety and concern.
