Chitral, April 22, 2026: Three persons were injured in a road traffic accident on Chitral-Mastuj road near Barenis in Lower Chitral on Wednesday.
The vehicle, carrying goods with three people, including the driver on board, was heading towards Yarkhun. According to initial reports, the accident occurred due to brake failure.
As a result of the accident, the driver, identified as Sardari, a resident of Khruzg, Yarkhun valley, sustained serious injuries. The other two were slightly injured.
Travellers on the road and people from nearby areas arrived followed by Rescue 1122 teams. The emergency service staff provided first aid to the injured and shifted the driver to hospital.
