Islamabad, April 11, 2026: The aircraft of US Vice President J.D. Vance entered Pakistani airspace near Chitral at around 10am, where the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation as part of standard high-level protocol.
The special aircraft subsequently landed at Nur Khan Airbase in Rawalpindi at 10:33am.
The US vice president arrived in Islamabad along with a high-level delegation to participate in comprehensive ceasefire talks with Iran.
The delegation also includes senior adviser to US President Donald Trump Steve Witkoff and presidential son-in-law Jared Kushner.
Upon arrival at Nur Khan Airbase, the delegation was received by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, reflecting the significance of the diplomatic engagement.
According to reports, the aircraft followed a long and carefully planned route, avoiding Middle Eastern airspace. After departing from Maryland, it made a brief two-and-a-half-hour stopover in Paris before continuing its journey.
The flight also avoided prolonged use of Afghan airspace and instead passed through Georgia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan before entering Pakistan.
