Booni, April 1, 2026: Deputy Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly and MPA for PK-1 Upper Chitral Suriya Bibi inaugurated the office of Registered Professional Farmers’ Cooperative Organization (RPFCO) for Reshun Charun and Booni.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by RPFCO Chitral Program Coordinator Shafiq Iqbal and others.
Addressing the gathering, Shafiq Iqbal highlighted the organization’s role in promoting modern farming techniques, supporting local farmers, and improving the agricultural sector.
Deputy Speaker Suriya Bibi spoke about the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s ongoing and proposed development initiatives in Chitral, particularly in Reshun.
She said that under the Rural Economic Transformation Project (KPRETP), farmers in remote areas would receive technical and financial assistance, boosting self-sufficiency and increasing crop production.
She also assured steps to resolve outstanding electricity bills in Rishan and provided updates on progress regarding the construction of a 1 MW hydroelectric project.
