Chitral, March 20, 2026: Rescue 1122 Lower Chitral successfully rescued two goats that had been stranded on a mountain slope in the Kuju area.
According to locals, the goats belonged to Shamim Ahmad. The animals had been missing for three days after getting stuck on a steep mountainside. Concerned about their safety, the owner contacted the Rescue 1122 control room for assistance.
Responding promptly, a Rescue 1122 team reached the the spot and carried out a careful rescue operation. Both goats were safely retrieved from the mountain and handed back to their owner without injury.
District Emergency Officer Sajjad Ali Yousafzai stated that Rescue 1122 Lower Chitral remains committed to providing timely emergency services during the holy month of Ramadan.
He said the department is dedicated not only to saving human lives but also to protecting property and animals.
