Drone Attack On FC Checkpost In Bannu; Curfew Imposed

Bannu — A drone struck a Frontier Corps (FC) checkpost in Takhti Khel, Bannu. The attack killed one FC officer and injured three others.

District Police Officer (DPO) Saleem Abbas Kalachi said a quadcopter drone carried out the attack in the Baka Khel area. The injured officers were rushed to the hospital.

After the attack, the Frontier Corps and police launched a search operation. They are working to find the attackers.

Authorities imposed a curfew in Hovid due to reports of terrorist activity. Security forces deployed heavy personnel and started search-and-strike operations. Residents must stay indoors after 5 a.m. They are warned not to approach suspicious people.

DPO Kalachi warned that anyone helping terrorists will face strict legal action. He also said authorities will demolish any building used to fire on security forces.

Officials urge citizens to cooperate and report suspicious activity to help maintain security.
