Landslide blocks Mastuj road near Booni

BOONI: The Chitral-Mastuj road has been blocked after a landslide near Booni bridge, the district administration of Upper Chitral stated on Sunday.

The landslide started in the area past the Booni bridge after heavy rain/snowfall. As a result, the road was blocked for all types of traffic, the office of the deputy commissioner stated.

It added that a meeting was held at the DC office to open traffic through an alternative road. As a result of the landsliding, links between Mastuj, Laspur and Yarkhun with other parts of Chitral are disconnected.
