Independence Day celebrated at FCPS
DROSH (PR): The 77th Independence Day of Pakistan was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Frontier Corps Public School (FCPS) in Drosh.
The event was attended by a large gathering of parents and local elders. The chief guest of the event was Lt. Col. Waqas Ahmed, Commander of 146 Wing.
Students participated in various performances and delivered speeches focusing on the history and significance of the Pakistan Movement.
A special guard of honor was presented by the students to welcome the chief guest.
In his address, Lt. Col. Waqas Ahmed praised the students and faculty for organizing such a vibrant event. He reassured the audience that security forces remain vigilant both at the borders and within cities, ensuring that no one can disturb the peace in Chitral.
He added that the celebration of the day’s events reflected the prevailing peace in the region.
Religious and political leader Qari Jamal Abdul Nasir, along with former District Council Chairman Khurshid Ali Khan, also spoke on the occasion. They emphasized the sacrifices made by Muslims during the Pakistan Movement and expressed gratitude for the peace and independence secured by the armed forces.
The speakers dismissed rumors regarding unrest in Drosh, asserting that the day’s celebrations were a clear rejection of such claims.
Parents and students expressed their satisfaction with the school’s management, curriculum, and co-curricular activities, commending FCPS for its dedication to quality education.
