Iftikhar Shah takes charge as DPO Lower Chitral

CHITRAL: A new district police officer (DPO) took charge in Lower Chitral on Tuesday, the police said in a statement.

Iftikhar Shah, BPS-18, replaces Qamar Hayat who was recently posted out of Chitral and appointed as the DPO of Battagram. Iftikhar Shah was earlier posted as DPO Bannu, according to a notification issued by the office of the IGP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Peshawar.

The caretaker KP government had appointed Qamar Hayat as the district police officer (DPO) of Lower Chitral four months ago and after taking over the new government in KP has started reshuffling the police and other officials.
