Shehbaz orders opening of Danish schools in GB
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has ordered the establishment of Danish schools in all three divisions of Gilgit-Baltistan.
He said Danish schools are being established in the region for boys and girls belonging to poor families. These schools will provide international quality education to the children as well as accommodation facilities.
The prime minister made the announcement at a meeting with GB Chief Minister Gulbar Khan in Islamabad. He also announced formation of a committee to resolve issues being faced by people of Gilgit-Baltistan, Radio Pakistan reported.
Mr Sharif directed the committee to submit its recommendations after consultations on all the issues.
The prime minister said development of Gilgit-Baltistan and provision of health and education facilities to the residents was the priority of the government. He also directed to accelerate work on the completion of Attabad and Harpo hydropower projects.
