Kuragh residents raise local issues at open forum

KURAGH: Residents of Kuragh at an open forum held by district administration officers raised a number of issues

They demanded the rehabilitation of the water supply network, including the flood-damaged canal, along with reconstruction of a link road damaged by landsliding.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (finance and revenue) Ihsanul Haq, along with Assistant Commissioner Mastuj Shah Adnan and Additional Assistant Commissioner Mulkhow/Torkhow Rab Nawaz listened to the public issues at the open forum.

The residents also demanded that staff and medicine should be made available at the dispensary in Kuragh which was set up under the People’s Work Program many years ago.

They also said that the district administration should provide quality seeds to farmers of the area. Moreover, the godown in Kuragh should be replenished with the stock of quality wheat. There are also no proper grounds for sports facilities fir the youth.

Another issue raised by the residents was the presence of a large number of stray dogs in the village that have become a nuisance for the locals.

The additional deputy commissioner and the assistant commissioner noted the issues and demands of the locals and directed officials of the line departments to resolve them through coordinated efforts.
